Welcome to the 2008 Saint Louis Bioblitz
You are invited to join scientists, naturalists, and
enthusiasts in exploring Forest Park's undiscovered
wonders at the Saint Louis BioBlitz. For those who love
nature, this is an event not to miss.
Led by the Academy of Science, the growing list of
environmental partners include: The Explorers Club,
Missouri Botanical Garden, Saint Louis Zoo, Forest Park
Forever, Missouri Department of Conservation, Saint Louis
Parks Department, Saint Louis Science Center, Botanical
Society of America, Butterfly House, Mycological Society,
Saint Louis Audubon Society, Missouri Native Plant Society,
Webster Groves Nature Study Society, Wild Bird Sanctuary,
and World Aquarium.

What is the Saint Louis BioBlitz?
The BioBlitz is a 24-hour exploration and
inventory of the life in Forest Park. Teams of public
volunteers lead by biologists will search natural areas
within the park, listing as many different species as
they can find. At the end of the day, the participants
will have a new appreciation of the biodiversity in
this very special place we know as Forest Park.
